WorkerInSpace has been selected for the DeepTech Challenge Project (DCP), a national R&D program led by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Through this program, the company will carry out a multi-year project to develop a 6U-class CubeSat capable of space object observation and orbit maneuvering, a key technology for future on-orbit services and space situational awareness.

The project will be funded through a combined structure of government R&D support, venture capital investment, and matching funds, with a total scale of approximately 6.8 billion KRW, and the potential to expand to nearly 10 billion KRW depending on performance and additional investment.

In collaboration with EcosSolution and Pusan National University, WorkerInSpace aims to complete in-orbit demonstration by 2027, including close-approach observation, attitude and shape characterization, and autonomous orbit-deorbit maneuvers.

This selection marks an important milestone as it recognizes WorkerInSpace’s capabilities in tackling critical challenges in the space domain. The company will continue advancing technologies that enable safer and more sustainable space operations.
