On September 9, WorkerInSpace was pleased to welcome Jacques Flies, Ambassador of Luxembourg to Korea, and his delegation to our research center in Sejong.

The discussion focused on Luxembourg’s growing role in the global new space industry, including the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC), which supports startups from idea to commercialization. Ambassador Flies noted that WorkerInSpace’s core on-orbit servicing (OOS) technologies—such as satellite life-extension and servicing—could contribute to the future space economy pursued by the European Union.

WorkerInSpace also highlighted the importance of potential collaboration with SES, the world’s largest satellite operator headquartered in Luxembourg, which recently expanded its GEO satellite fleet to more than 90 satellites. Both sides expressed interest in continuing discussions on partnerships and exploring Luxembourg’s venture funding opportunities for space companies.

At WorkerInSpace, we look forward to building strong ties with Luxembourg and advancing our vision of next-generation on-orbit servicing technologies in the global market.
