WorkerInSpace, a startup pioneering On-Orbit Servicing (OOS), has been awarded a KRW 1.7 billion (~$1.2M) project by the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) to develop critical technologies for autonomous in-orbit refueling of reusable orbital vehicles.

This 4-year initiative aims to push TRL5 and beyond, focusing on:

  • High-precision rendezvous/docking and fuel transfer systems
  • Mission scenario analysis and
  • Digital twin-based ground control technology

The project brings together a powerful consortium:

  • WorkerInSpace as lead
  • Academic partners: Gyeongsang National University, Sejong University, Pusan National University
  • Industry collaborators: SpaceSolution, MoaSoft
  • Demand-side partner: KAI (Korea Aerospace Industries)

WorkerInSpace는 한국 유일의 민간 3D 무중력 시뮬레이션 테스트베드를 통해 거의 현실적인 환경에서 핵심 기술을 검증할 계획입니다.
